I am writing to seek your advice on the above issue.
On 16-Nov-2017, there was a fraudulent transaction in my cooperative account (Visa card issuer). I learnt about it on 10-Jan-2018. I've had a long-running difficulty with cooperative bank's token delivery system.
I informed them of the issue promptly. On 19-January, they refunded the commission on the said transaction but stated they couldn't further pursue the matter.
I did my own research and discovered the company that benefitted from the transaction is based in London (Skrill PLC) and is known to conduct a lot of Card Not Present transactions. I filed a report with the Cybercrime division of the British National Police and a similar one in Belgium where I am resident.
I also called Visa Inc. who blocked the transaction but said they couldn't proceed any further without the card issuer's (i.e. Co-op) instructions. They have also put an alert on Skrill PLC who have been named as defendants in other trials in Europe.
I need for Co-op to verify this transaction as fraudulent and revert the stolen sum to my account.
Is Cofek/Ripoff Kenya able to advise on the proper systems to enforce their duties as card issuers
